What’s for dinner? FISH!

A nice little salmon fillet cooked on the pan, but not fried. A cup of white rice and some broccoli, topped off with an avocado, cucumber and onion salad. BAM, dinner is ready.Salmon

Snack of the day

This tasty delight helps get me to dinner time without looking for something sweet in between meals.

About 1 cup of plain yogurt, regular because the natural fats keep it tasty. About 1/2 tablespoons of granola and 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds. Mix it up and you got yourself a tasty healthy snack.

Keep it simple!

1/2 cup of white rice, cabbage and cilantro salad, 1/2 an avocado and 4 ounces of chicken breast with a little bit of barbecue sauce.

Power Cakes and eggs

Who knew you could have pancakes not only wit crab value, but a great protein source. We found this box of pancake mix at Costco that has about 8 grams of protein, and more if you use eggs and milk to mix it. And just like all other mixes, you can add bananas, cinnamon or powdered PB to add flavor.

Sautéed veggies and scrambled some eggs to go with them. Along with a cup of coffee, this is what I call a power breakfast.

BOOM!!! Going into a workout you always have the thought, “I’m going to get a good workout in today.” But when we reach that point, sometimes you feel like quitting. I’m glad I didn’t. And at the end, looking at my results, I’m glad I was able to dig deep and keep pushing through. 


The Super set Workout 

Warmup: Squat jump /Planks

Using Kettle Bells or Dumb Bells 
KB swing /Double KB squats

Leg press

Glute-Ham Raises/Single leg KB Deadlifts

Front Lunges/Reverse lunges

Band bridges/Goblet squat 


Not a heavy workout, but very effective. Super-sets had me sweating up a puddle. 

The 700 club 

Leg Day has me feeling like I’m dragging my legs through mud. It was a great workout though.

Chicken Flat

Today’s lunch time special is the unwrappable chicken wrap. Chicken breast sliced up, sliced bell peppers, sliced tomatoes, sliced avocado, and topped with some home-made chile.

All of this deliciousness on top of a low-carb whole wheat tortilla wrap. This goodness was so feeling, the wrap just folded like a giant taco.

Quick, easy, healthy and very filling.

Apple Delight

Afternoon snack time. What better than Granny Smith Apple slices with some Peanut Butter. 

Nothing to this. 1 Apple sliced up, smeared with some PB and BAM! It’s ready for you to enjoy.

Egg fest!

I’ve been  having boiled eggs for breakfast lately, but just a plain egg won’t cut it for me.

  

While I wait for the eggs to boil, I like to prepare a few topping to add to my breakfast. Some healthy avocado spread on some toast, spear the sliced eggs and top them with some home made Chile and some diced peppers. Or just some ground pepper and Chile. Just a simple way to put some pep in your step.
